Jaclyn Strong

Hi, I’m Britni and Jaclyn has been my best friend of 18 years. Whenever I met Jaclyn, we were entering our freshman year of college and she had already gone through the unimaginable. She had just finished chemotherapy and radiation after being diagnosed with cancer while still in high school.

Three months ago, Jaclyn’s life was again shattered when she was again diagnosed with cancer. This time, with stage four breast cancer. Since beginning chemotherapy, she has been so ill yet she is still working as much as possible and caring for her two children, Hazel (6) and Tyler (13). Alan, Jaclyn’s husband, is a long haul truck driver and spends much of his time on the road.

I know that it is the holidays and money is tight for everyone but please help if you can. Anyone who has known a loved one battling this terrible disease knows that on top of being sick and afraid, that you also have to worry about taking time off work, driving to and from medical appointments and treatments, and struggling to find a way to pay medical bills all the while trying to still be present with your family.

I told her months ago I wanted to start this go fund me and she said “absolutely not….unless there is no other option.” Well that was months ago and I would rather show people love while we still have them! I think and hope all our friends and family will too! Jaclyn is a very private person so I apologize for anybody that had to find out this way. Jaclyn might unfriend me after this, but I need to help and this is the only way I know how.

In Jaclyn’s short 38 years, she has endured so much but she always prevails and keeps the highest of spirits while doing so. She is determined to live up to her name, Strong, Jaclyn Strong.
