Caregiver needs our help

My friend Robert is the most thoughtful, kind, and generous person I know. I don’t say that lightly, it’s simply true. Just one example, is that he spent the last 10 years caring for his elderly mother who had Alzheimer’s, in her home.
If you’ve ever been a caregiver, you know how difficult it is. He did it alone, day in and day out, never taking more than a few hours to himself, and that even was rare. He loved his mother, and was the most devoted of sons. And then, the disease inevitably took her. She’s at peace, now, but Robert is here to grieve, and is left to pick up the pieces.
At some point, in the midst of her illness, she signed a reverse mortgage. What this means for my friend, is that the bank will sell his home, and he’ll get little or nothing out of it, being forced to leave the home he’s lived in for ten years. In the meantime, he still has to pay all of the bills.
This is where you come in, hopefully. After ten years of around the clock caregiving, he’s basically broke, and needs to find a place to live. We are trying to raise funds to help Robert pay the bills, and for moving expenses. Being his friend, I can tell you how much he hates asking anyone for help, but the reality is, he must. We all know how much the cost of living has skyrocketed, how impossible it is to find affordable housing, and how much even food has become an issue today.
Please help us, help Robert! Even $5 helps- we know it’s tough on everyone right now. If you’ve ever lost a loved one to dementia, please, give in their memory, for all of the selfless caregivers. Thank you so much for reading, much love and God bless you
