Our sweet Chasity is a bright light to everyone who knows her. She has lived her life with joy, kindness, and a heart full of love. Chas was born with hydrocephalus and has faced many challenges with courage and faith; never letting anything dim her beautiful spirit. She and her mom, Awilda, share an incredibly close bond; truly best friends who have always been by each other’s side through everything.

Several months ago, she went into the hospital with a severe headache. Chas had multiple complications occur and ended up in ICU for 2 months. She is currently at Good Shepherd rehab and continues to fight with the same quiet strength she’s always shown.

Before this happened, Chasity was living a full, happy life. She was working, spending time with family, and doing what she loved most: making others laugh and smile. Chasity’s joy shines through and her laughter can brighten even the darkest day. She has a gift for making everyone around her feel noticed and loved, with a caring heart that never judges.

Our family continues to pray and stay hopeful. We see glimpses of her shining through in her smiles, her attempts to laugh when we share stories she loves. We know her beautiful soul is still very much with us.

Chasity’s mom, my sister-in-law, has spent countless hours by her side, day and night, and has had to take significant time off work to care for her. In addition to the emotional and medical challenges, her family has been faced with considerable financial strain.

Chasity will likely be coming home soon and will need continuous support for her medical and personal care.
