My name is Emily Gentry. For months my husband, Junior Gentry, has experienced black-out episodes which have intensified over time. He has fallen and hit his head on several occasions. They got so bad a few weeks ago that he had to be taken by ambulance twice to the hospital. After days of being at Willis-Knighton Piermont Hospital in Shreveport, LA, and undergoing every test the neurologists and cardiologists could think of, it was determined that he is possibly having seizures of unknown origin and would need to seek more in-depth specialist care. He has been referred to The Neurology Clinic in Houston, TX. He is scheduled to be seen there on February 2, 2023. In the meantime, he is on expensive seizure medication and has to wear a long-term heart monitor.
Our insurance will not cover these medical or travel expenses. We do not understand their reasoning but we are determined to do whatever is necessary to get him relief and get to the bottom of what's going on in his body.
He has missed a lot of work these past few months. We have three boys, Gio (age 16), Wyatt (age 5) and Maverick (age 1). Junior has always been very active with them in taking them deer hunting, coaching baseball, etc.) It's hard not to be scared of the unknown road that lies ahead, but we are putting our faith in God for the doctors to find answers for Junior and heal him.
We live a very modest lifestyle and were not prepared for this. So we need your help in raising money for Junior's medical and travel expenses. Please help if you can. Any donation is greatly appreciated.
