Dear Friends,

We’re reaching out on behalf of our beloved Maria, a refugee from Bolivia and a cherished member of our restaurant family, where she has worked tirelessly as our talented and warm-hearted chef de partie.

Maria has just received the devastating news that her son has passed away in Bolivia. She is flying home tonight to be with her family and to say goodbye to her son. It is likely she will be staying there for the foreseeable future.

This fundraiser has been created to help cover the funeral expenses and allow Maria to give her son the dignified farewell he deserves.

Maria has always been the heart of our kitchen—hardworking, generous, and full of kindness. Now, in this time of deep grief, we’re asking our community to support her the way she has always supported others.
