I humbly ask for your help during this very difficult time. As many of you know, Coleen and Brian have four beautiful children, including triplet 6-year old boys. On January 6, 2024 a tragic accident left one of them, Sandy, fighting for his life on a ventilator in the pediatric intensive care unit. Sandy and his brother Grayson had been at a sleepover at a close family friend's house. The boys ended up riding in an ATV, which overturned and pinned Sandy underneath it. His airway was restricted causing him to immediately lose consciousness and his heart stopped. He was administered CPR and brought back to life by first responders.

Sandy is now off the ventilator and fighting his way back. He underwent surgery for a broken femur on Sunday. We all hope that he will, with time and expert care, have a full recovery. While he is recovering expenses are beginning to pile up. His mom, Coleen, is in private practice as a clinical social worker and his father Brian is a teacher. Together they have four children, a mortgage, car payments and medical expenses among others.

Sandy needs his mom by his side, and Coleen has been at the hospital around the clock. Being self-employed, Coleen doesn't have paid time off. Brian has also been with Sandy and is helping to keep the family afloat by tending to the other three children who will also need to recover from this traumatic event. Brian plans to take a leave of absence for the remainder of the school year to care for and support Sandy as he recovers.
