Care for Michael
Donation protected
As many of you know my 16 year old nephew, Michael (Cheeseman),
had an accident on New Year’s Day this year and sustained a spinal cord injury at the C5/C6 level. What does that mean? He is now a quadriplegic, with limited use of his arms and no use of his legs. Michael is a fighter for sure, I know he will continue to work hard to get back as much function as he can, but the fight will be long and hard, and he will require a lifetime of care and assistance. Even with good insurance coverage there are so many items that aren’t covered like basic medical supplies and nursing care! The cost of nursing and supplies is quickly adding up to astronomical levels. Medical equipment for his daily life is also a huge cost, with a large portion uncovered. Needed renovations to make his house accessible an additional uncovered cost. With so much to pay for even a family of means is struggling to pay for it all! If you can find it in your hearts to give any amount to help Michael receive uninterrupted nursing care, make additional needed renovations and purchase supplies and equipment it would be truly appreciated. Let’s raise enough to keep this kid cared for so he and his family can focus on what’s important, continued progress in his function and ability! Thank you!
