WFD Firefighter, Brandon Stanford

Due to the Hurricane Florence disaster in the Carolinas and the hurricane aftermath of Wilmington, NC being cut off from the rest of the Carolinas at this time, donations are being solicited from the friends of Brandon Stanford, son of Grier & Gemetta Stanford.

All roads leading to and from Wilmington, NC are still blocked in this moment in time except for one road in and out for emergency vehicles and supply trucks only until waters recede.

WFD Firefighter, Brandon Stanford, worked 24/7 five days straight, 9/13-9/17, thru Hurricane Florence as a first-responder to then go home to a slightly flooded house from the Cape Fear River. Calling his insurance company right away, he is now awaiting the long process for ever how many days it may now take for a claims adjuster to come out, assess his losses, another long wait for a claims check to arrive and then begin another long process of slowly rebuilding and restocking.

In the meantime and as slowly a few Wilmington area grocery stores, gas stations and banks are beginning to regain power and reopen, Brandon needs to immediately begin restocking: food, water, dog food, cleaning supplies, kitchen & bathroom supplies, tissue paper, paper towels, bed clothes, sheets, bed pillows, kitchen & bath towels, trash cans, brooms, mops, vacuum, paper products, etc. He will most likely be paying for an electrician which will probably not be covered by his homeowners insurance.

Ways other than GoFundMe to donate:
1. Should you prefer to donate with an Early Warning Zelle Account with no fees, please feel to contact me and I will give you Brandon’s cell phone # linked to his Wells Fargo banking account for a direct transfer from your checking account to Brandon’s checking account.

2. Gift baskets and gift cards to hardware stores, Target, Walmart, etc., are also welcomed for us to deliver personally to Brandon whenever the road blocks are eventually cleared. Currently, mail and delivery trucks are unavailable as well.

3. I can also deposit checks made payable to Brandon directly into Brandon’s checking account for him.

But, at this point, Brandon needs immediate assistance and there is no indication as to when family and friends will be allowed to travel into Wilmington, NC to assist and deliver aide or when power will be restored either. Funds from GoFundMe will be transferred from the Stanford checking account into Brandon’s checking account so that Brandon will have easy access since the Stanfords are unable to enter Wilmington, NC at this time.

Please continue to pray for our son, Brandon, and the City of Wilmington too on their long journey to recovery. Any and all types of donations and collections are greatly appreciated. Surplus will be shared with Brandon’s WFD fire station and his fellow fire department team members.

Psalm 57:1 - Have mercy on me, my god, have mercy on me, for in you I take refuge.  I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed.

Thanking you in advance for your support, kindness and generosity.
