Meet Leo, a sweet and brave kitty who’s just eighteen months old. Leo came into my life when he was a healthy, playful kitten, full of energy and curiosity. Unfortunately, we soon discovered that Leo is FELV-positive, which is akin to HIV in animals.
As time went on, Leo began showing signs of health issues. I noticed changes in his litter and his behavior, and after consulting with the vet, we found that the FELV had caused anemia, impacting his bone marrow and blood cell production.
In search of answers and a clearer diagnosis, I sought a second opinion at a specialized clinic in Campbellville. The vets recommended that Leo undergo an ultrasound to determine if the cancer is gastrointestinal or lymphatic. This procedure costs around $1,000, and depending on the results, we may need surgery, which could cost even more.
Leo’s health is fragile, and every bit of support can make a difference. We are reaching out for your help to give Leo the best chance at a healthy, happy life. Thank you for considering helping us in this critical time.
