Update Wednesday February 21st 2024 copied from Sabrena Facebook:

I lost my very best friend yesterday. There are not enough words to express what it feels like to lose the love of your life, someone you spend every single day with for the better part of a decade. There are not enough words to describe how painful it is to watch your children lose their father at such young ages. Jason was an absolute joy to be around. I am really and truly sad for the people that didn’t get to experience his light as much as they should’ve. When I met Jason I was essentially feral, I was an extremely rough around the edges, unforgiving, meaner than necessarily person. He changed that, he gave me grace and taught me to give it to others. Jason showed me patience and gentleness. I absolutely would not be where I am now or who I am now without him. I will spend the rest of my days missing him more than anything in the world and trying to live life in a way that would make him proud.

Please don’t ever feel like talking about Jason will bring anyone down. It’s important to everyone that Jason is remembered always, and Jason would want us talking and laughing about him/with him forever. It brings the family and I so much peace and happiness to know how widely and deeply Jason was loved and how much joy he brought to this world.

On November 19 Jason was found to have suffered an anoxic brain injury. Jason has been in the hospital unresponsive in a coma on full life support since then. This has left his family heartbroken.

Sabrena, his fiancé was a stay at home mom to their 4 kids. Juno, Joel , Judson, and Vada. THIS is the reason Dana and I felt lead to start a gofundme. We know Jason was a great father and provider to his fiancé and kiddos. We might even help make the transition from being a stay at home mom of four to a full-time working mom of four a little easier.

We are hoping to lighten the load for Sabrina and their children.

We met Jason in Dallas, when we were all seeking Jesus together and learning to apply His principles to our life. He quickly became a Brother of choice a part our family. He came over one day and never left! We always joke our grocery bill even doubled because he spent so much time at our house. If you know Jason you know that man Can EAT! Even though we are now states away we have continued supporting each other in our daily walk. I know the MOST important thing to Jason is his family .

Jason is so special to so many people. He has such a vibrant spirit and his kindness and love and laughter shines bright on everyone he comes in contact with. Jason had a huge recovery family here in Texas and a big family of choice in his cross fit community in Florida. Fitness is how Jason and his little family spent their time together. His daughter Juno has already competed and won a CrossFit competition. He is such a proud Dad!

Jason faced hardships and struggles throughout his life. He turned God to seek the serenity to accept the things he could not change, and sought courage to change the things he could.

Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers over the next week moving forward will be extremely hard on all of them.

If you could also share a memory that will make his family smile, Jason left us all with a smile!

Any help you could provide is very much appreciated.

100% of the funds given will be paid directly to Sabrena!
