Hi everyone,

One of our own needs our help. Two of our amazing founders, Chris and Vic, are in a bind. The reason they have been able to do so much work for us is because Chris lost his job last October and Vic is a stay-at-home parent for their 4 kids, two under the age of 5, and homeschooling one of the older kids. This has given them the flexibility to be able to do everything they do for us, such as getting the permits, organizing with 50501 national, setting up speakers, working with our awesome MC, getting the stage built, working to get us as an official non-profit and even paying for early permits and the first set of ports potties out of their own pocket.

We all know how things are right now, so Chris has been unable to find a role in his field. The good news is that they have a plan that will kick in in about a month where they’ll be in good shape, but right now they’re in a bind financially and could use our help to help pay rent for the month and make sure they’ve got enough for essentials.

They were extremely uncomfortable with this idea, but I knew folks would want to know that they needed help.

I know we’re all struggling right now, so please don’t worry if you can’t help, but if you can, it would mean so much to me if you could give back to the people that gave us hope when we were hopeless, that gave us a place to find our people, that have given countless hours to help us have a voice and be able to use it.

They have been instrumental in building this community, so if we could give a little back to help them get through the next month, it would be amazing.
