Dannielle Brown needs your support!!

We have been waiting for four months to understand why we lost our loving son, Marquis Jaylen Brown.  Yes it took four months for the Pittsburgh police to produce a report that creates more questions than answers.  They want us to believe that a young man who had everything to live for suddenly decided to jump out of a 16 story window because of a consumed substance and they closed the case.   This is not the reason Jaylen fell to his death - so a grieving mother has to wait even longer to try to understand this senseless tragedy of her son.

Marquis Jaylen Brown was a loving son and gifted student athlete, a Junior at Duquesne University, played on the football team in the linebacker and fullback positions, a scholar and dear friend to many.  He left an indelible mark of humor and happiness to all who came in contact with him.  Jaylen had just celebrated his 21st birthday, the day before he died.  The circumstances surrounding his death involved the presence of the Duquesne Police and other witnesses who were present inside of his dormitory room, before he was either pushed or fell out of his 16-story window to his death on the concrete below.  The University has thus far refused to provide even the most basic of details to Jaylen's grieving mother, Dannielle Brown.  She has not been given the name of a University official or University officers who were present at the time of the incident, have not received a copy of the incident report, case status report or any answers that would explain why he fell 16 stories to his death.   We have so many unanswered questions. Why did the University immediately issue an official statement saying that this happy vibrant young man that had everything to live for - jump from his bedroom window?  Nothing that has been shared with his grieving mother aligns with the truth.

Months later we're still on a quest to learn what exactly happened to him. In the meantime, Dannielle has been trying to put her life back together. This has not been an easy task when you have lost so much with no answers. Truthfully, Dannielle cannot rest until she gets answers as to why her son is gone. And the powers that be in the Pittsburgh community where this took place are not forthcoming with information. In order to get answers, she's got to leave her home in DC to go to the Pittsburgh PD and demand answers.

So we ask you all to consider Dannielle and her family. Donate whatever you can and if you cannot donate at this time, please share! Help us to find out what happened inside of that room before he fell to his death.  #justice4jaylen
