Cruising on a casual weekend ride with his mates, Brad hit a bad patch of road that left his motorbike skating. He was faced with an awful choice: hit an oncoming car, or run off the road. Brad was an experienced, careful rider who chose to take his chances off the road and not risk anyone else’s life. He hit a tree and broke his spine. He was instantly rendered paraplegic.

Brad lives for his family and the days he spends playing with his son. In his former life he worked as a museum guide, teaching history to school children and tourists. He enjoyed sword fighting, fire-twirling and motorbikes. Now Brad’s life has changed. He’s lost his ability to walk, and is facing many months in hospital and rehab.

Although life is tough right now, Brad is working hard to get back up. He looks forward to the day he can return home on a new set of wheels.
