Hi my name is Shameka West. My family of four have lost everything overnight due to extreme water damage. The pipes bursted in our ceiling. We have nothing but the clothing on our backs. We have lost our beds, furniture, and food. These funds will help us to find a place to stay. As well as obtain the necessary essentials needed to live. While dealing with this I also have to care for my 8 year old special needs son who has Williams Syndrome. The gravity of this illness includes growth stagnation, brain development delay, compromised immune system and shortened life span. Not only is this overwhelming for the entire family but especially for him as well. He is unable to understand the magnitude of what is going on. Our needs are great but we trust with family, friends and support from our community we will make it through this catastrophic moment in our journey.
