On November 18, 2025, University of Idaho head football coach Thomas Ford was fined $2,500 for commenting on an egregiously blown call in the final 18 seconds of Idaho's 23-20 loss at Sacramento State. The offending postgame comments include:

"It felt like at the end of the game there we got one taken from us."

“I don’t think that’s the right call,” Ford said. “It got reviewed and they said there wasn’t enough evidence (to overturn it). They definitely missed one on that call, and I believe they will see this, and think the exact same.”

Ford also posted a video of the missed call on X with the caption, "Wow, absolutely no words..."

Considering how measured Ford's comments were, and the fact that the Big Sky Conference both issued a statement acknowledging the blown call and suspended the officials involved in the blown call, we find it preposterous for Ford to have been fined any amount whatsoever.

Our goal: raise $2,500 to pay the fine and show Coach Ford us Vandals have his back.
