We’ve got Jack’s back!
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Katie and I’m fundraising for my brother Jack and sister-in-law Rachel.
As many of you may know, Jack was diagnosed in 2011 with a rare form of bone cancer called Ewing Sarcoma at the age of 12. Jack went through about 10 months of treatment consisting of chemotherapy and radiation.
Jack had been cancer-free for 11.5 years until he was recently diagnosed with Spindle Cell(Radiation-Induced) Sarcoma, a cancer caused from radiation therapy (that he received in his first cancer treatment). Unfortunately, before starting chemo treatment, Jack had a complete break to his affected femur resulting in more challenges.
Due to lost wages for Jack and anticipated lost wages for Rachel to care for him, as well as medical expenses and expenses related to frequent hospital trips & overnight stays for hospitalization, Jack and Rachel will need some support. Any donation is greatly appreciated!
We’ve got Jack and Rachel’s back!
UPDATE: After several rounds of inpatient chemo, Jack had surgery December 13th to remove the part of the femur with the tumor and rebuild his knee. Jack is looking forward to healing from surgery and the prospect of getting around without crutches. After some healing, Jack will resume (several more months of) chemotherapy treatment.
