West Shore

West Shore Coffee is an independent woman-owned small business bringing a bright gathering place to our beloved neighborhood offering quality espresso drinks, other beverages, snacks, lunch and friendly vibes.

Located beside University of the Sciences campus, we will cater to the needs of that community, but also aim to foster connection and engagement with our neighbors.

We will create a hub of activity that thrives and connects. With community engagement built into the business model, West Shore will act as a center that serves the local clientele and gives back to the surrounding neighborhoods.
Additionally, we are committed to making monthly donations to local organizations that work toward social, racial and economic justice. We strive to be a sustainable business that fights for and encourages environmental, animal + human rights. 

The awesome folks at University City District
are guiding us through the process of fundraising the starting costs through grants, loans and other small business programs.

So far (with your support) we have secured a corner storefront location in Philadelphia's smallest neighborhood, West Shore. It's on Woodland Avenue, within easy walking distance of busy Baltimore Ave, Clark Park and the local Universities.




The funds raised through this campaign will be used to purchase equipment and furnishings, start-up costs, build a website, marketing/ PR + branding, paying the babysitters etc.
