PONY Baseball and Softball is an international amateur youth baseball and girls softball organization, headquartered in Washington, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1951, PONY has over 500,000 annual participantsl. The name PONY comes from the acronym, Protect Our Nation’s Youth. Member leagues are designed as a method of community action to help young people develop into better adults through participation in organized and supervised recreation.
The West Raleigh Exchange Club is not just about baseball. It is part of the National Exchange Club, a non-profit organization whose national mission is to prevent child abuse through youth programs and advocacy. The West Raleigh Exchange Club is involved and makes a real difference in the community with our many programs. We involve our baseball families in our programs of service because we believe it is important to impart a spirit of community service in our children from an early age, so that we groom a next generation of citizens who will grow up to make a difference in their communities, and for their children.
These boys of summer have been working hard exhibiting the principles of hustle, aggressive base-running, throwing strikes, FUN-da-MENTALs, and respect towards their opponents. Please help us send our team to compete in the P.O.N.Y. Mustang-9 World Series. Any donation would help!! All proceeds will be used to offset player and family expenses for lodging, meals, and travel expenses.
