Weston McWhorter's Cancer Journey
Donation protected
In late December of 2023, Weston noticed a lump forming on the right side of his neck raising concern about a swollen lymph node and enlarging right tonsil. In mid-April, after several doctor visits and multiple tests, it was determined to be a form of tonsil cancer.
At this stage, Weston did not have medical insurance and all of the expenses were out of pocket. This was very stressful and unexpected. In late-May, he was able to finally secure insurance coverage, but the overall costs of this journey – and what still lies ahead – are more than we can handle alone. Between required out-of-pocket expenses, travel to and from treatment at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, additional consults with long-term care professionals, and more, we're reaching out to our beloved community for support.
Weston is the father of two incredible children and is also devoted to a life of service. He supports so many people in their growth, healing and transformation. He is deeply loved and respected, and we want to ensure the greatest short-term and long-term outcomes for his healing.
If you have walked through the cancer journey before, you know the financial strain it can create – even if you have insurance. Any contribution is greatly appreciated. If cancer has impacted you or your family’s life in any way, please feel free to make a donation in memory of a loved one or in honor of someone currently experiencing the disease.
We feel a great sense of appreciation for our family, friends and extended community, and we humbly ask you to also support us with your prayers. We truly believe in the power of prayer and wholeheartedly trust that God is with Weston and has a great plan through this healing journey.
With so much Love, Trust and deep Gratitude!
