Weston Donzell Fitch's Surgery

Hello everyone! Many of you know us as Matthew and Christina; our son Weston knows us as Dada and Mama. Weston and I (Christina) had an extremely rough pregnancy that caused so many complications. Unfortunately, one of those complications caused my c-section delivery to be moved up by 3 1/2 weeks which caused Weston to have a low birth weight and some of his organs not fully developed and moved into the proper location. Weston has some medical conditions, however the main one that concerns his Pediatrician and his Urology Specialist is his right testicle never decended. He has been diagnosed with Cryptochidism. This is the condition in which one or both of the testes fail to descend from the abdomen into the scrotum. This condition usually only happens in baby boy's born early. In most cases by age of 6 months the testie has moved it's way to the scrotum. However in Weston's case at 8 months old now it has not moved at all and is still in the same spot from his first Urology appointment and first Pediatrician appointment. Weston NEEDS to have surgery to correct this issue. If we elect not to have this surgery we are putting our son in harm's way. He can develop cancer, infections, in the future infertility, and the testical can get tangled and attach to other vital organs which can be life threatening. The surgery is safest when done between 6 months to 12 months. Weston is scheduled for surgery July 15th and will be put to sleep and in surgery for a minimum of 1 hour. As long as there are no complications Weston will be able to go home that evening and recovery according to the doctor is alot faster and easier the younger the baby is.

I feel somewhat bad for asking for help, especially after everyone's generous donations when it came to helping my mom and I last year with my father's tragic death. However, this is our son. I can't imagine not getting his surgery and putting him in harms way. Our job as parent's is to love and protect them. We are seeking any help we can get with the cost of his surgery of $10,506.73 (that's after the insurance portion, this is ours) I have confirmed with the Pediatric Urologist office and the Hospital that the surgery fee has to be paid in full upfront. Im sure like some of you with the raise/cost of everything lately it can be hard at times. We don't want to burden anyone, but if you can find it in your heart to help we would be extremley greatful.
