Westley's final expenses

Yesterday, 11/3/2019, I lost my best friend, my familiar, my horcrux, Westley. 

I took him in to the vet with breathing issues on Sunday morning, only to have our day rapidly spiral out of control. The X-rays at my regular vet showed fluid in the lungs and an enlarged heart (he did have so much love to give). They referred me to a specialist hospital where John and I took him immediately. There, another ultrasound showed fluid in the chest and belly, and a weak heart beat. He was in late-stage heart failure. My heart stopped. 

I was given the worst choice in my life: spend thousands of dollars to *maybe* keep him around a few more months -- a few months that would have been torturous for him with constant vet visits and medications... or to say goodbye. He hated the vet so much, and I know that it would have been even further damage to his heart to put him through that much medical trauma. So I hugged my baby close to my heart and did the worst thing imaginable. 

I'm now left completely bereft and empty. Part of my heart and soul died with Wes in that vet room. This was all so sudden, and I'm still in shock. I'm grateful for all the messages and well-wishes from friends and family, though I fear I won't bounce back any time soon. 

Anyways, it's my birthday on Wednesday (11/6) and I guess I need help with some of these expenses as well as getting some sort of urn or memorial. Not quite sure on the latter, as I haven't had the heart to do any research yet. He was only 13, and had been in fine health up until yesterday. He was always taking such good care of me and Jarlaxle that he had likely been hiding symptoms from me for months. I thought I had so much more time with him. 

Please hug your fur-babies for me today, and many thanks to Justin Davidson Photography for doing this photoshoot with my fluffs a few Christmases ago. These photos are really helping me cope.

Any funds over the initial amount will go towards an urn and some sort of other pet ashes keepsake.
