Westfield Homeless Cat Project – Every Penny Saves Lives

The Westfield Homeless Cat Project (WHCP) is a NO KILL, non-profit 501(c)(3) cat and kitten rescue organization in Westfield, Massachusetts. Since 2006, WHCP has rescued, vetted, and re-homed over 13,000 cats and kittens, giving them a second chance at life.

Our Mission

It all started when our founder, Denise, saved a mother cat and her kittens from being euthanized. That one act of kindness became the foundation of our mission: to ensure no cat is left behind. Today, WHCP continues to operate tirelessly, saving homeless cats in need.

The Challenge

Operating as a NO KILL facility comes with significant costs. Our expenses approach $300,000 annually, covering food, litter, medical care, and life-saving surgeries. We receive no government funding and rely solely on donations, fundraisers, and the generosity of people like you.
