We are Western High School STEM Robotics located in Davie, FL. The program began almost a decade ago. Through true grit and determination, a lot of late nights and long hours, and incredible support from staff and volunteers, our FTC Robotics team has again made it to the Florida state competition in Orlando, FL and our FRC Robotics team will travel to the regional competition in Tallahassee, FL. Being able to compete at these levels takes so much support from our teachers, mentors, and community. Our school does not supply us with all of the materials needed so we fundraise throughout the year to be able to compete locally. Qualifying for state and regional competitions places an additional financial need and we hope you will help. The funds we raise will be used to procure equipment and transport the teams as well as the robots to competition. Some history about Western High School Robotics: In 2018, the Western High School WiredCats FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) FTC Team #6322 had done what no other robotics team at Western High School (Davie, FL) had done before - they came in first place at State competition and made it to FIRST World Competition in Houston, TX. The success continued in 2019 when the Western Robotics FRC Team #5872 returned to World Competition. In 2020 the team was en route to Orlando State Competition but was forced to turn around when COVID forced the cancellation of the event. After COVID team #10022 won 1st place as League Champions in 2023 and went on to the State Championship along with team #6332 who won the Innovate Award.
