Many factors affect how students arrive at the start of college life. But what can prevent our Jets from “taking flight” is often the same reason: the numerous expenses that emerge before that first semester even begins. Our vision is to fund ancillary costs not typically covered by scholarships, such as books, supplies, and transportation.

About Us

This fundraiser is sponsored by the Launch Scholarship Fund. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit helping Western Heights students transcend financial barriers to college entry.

Our founders are all WHHS alums who were propelled by our teachers' guidance and encouragement. They helped us navigate past obstacles as we pursued our dreams of attending college. We were the first ones in our families to go to college, and we wondered how in the world we’d ever get from point A to point B. Inspired by the faith our teachers instilled in us, we started the Launch Scholarship Fund to give grants to current students who aspire to attend college and to alums enrolled in an accredited post-secondary education institution.
