West of Scotland CC Clubhouse Restoration

West of Scotland Cricket Club is based at Hamilton Crescent, located on Peel Street in Partick, Glasgow. The club currently fields six senior teams, a women’s senior team and teams in every junior league.

The club was founded in 1862 and is a historic sporting site; In 1872 we hosted the first ever official International Football match between Scotland and England. We have also hosted internationals in several other sports. We are proud of our history and sporting heritage. Click here to find out more.

As many our own community may know, the West Pavilion needs major renovation if it is to continue to serve the club as well as it has since 1923. In January 2021 a water ingress caused enormous damage, with subsequent inspection has shown that the roof and external structure need considerable attention too. It total the club will be looking to raise in excess of £700’000.

Players Fitness Challenge

To contribute to the fundraising efforts for our new clubhouse, a group of West players are going home and back again!

Over the course of two weeks, 16 members of West of Scotland are going to try and run the equivalent of the distance to Lords and back from our very own Home of Cricket, Hamilton Crescent by covering miles on Strava - all to raise funds for the West of Scotland clubhouse.

Each member will have to run roughly 85km in two weeks, a pretty hard ask. So, if you wish to contribute to our fundraising by sponsoring our players as they run to the Home of Cricket, please donate below to contribute to our target of £1500.
