West Maui Taxi Lahaina Fire Relief

Aloha, on behalf of our family and West Maui Taxi, we are humbled and grateful by the words of all of you who checked in on us during the Lahaina wildfires. Many of our family, friends, and beloved customers have reached out from all over to ask us how they can help us so we've started this fundraiser.

The fires that destroyed Lahaina town has impacted all of Lahaina, making many places of fond moments and familiarity in our hometown exist only in photos and memories. West Maui Taxi, a family owned and operated business, has been serving the greater Lahaina community for decades but now faces a grim future. We have lost most of our assets to the fire and many of our drivers are without a home. Our model has always been to work as a a big ohana, take care of our own, and never collect a fee from our drivers.

Strongly united, we and Lahaina will rebuild but it may take years. With this loss and much regret, my parents will be reducing their company to be independent drivers with hopes of gaining back business to re-expand to others. Our father, "Mr. Lee", will continue to answer our lines and serve Lahaina as needed. We are forever thankful to our loyal drivers and customers throughout the years. Many of you have become great friends to our family.

It is with hesitation that we start this GoFundMe effort to support our parents and their business. Your contribution will provide immediate financial assistance to them, drivers, and extended family members who were all impacted by this tragedy.
