West Kirby Grammar School Annual Giving Day

We are proud to launch the very first West Kirby Grammar School Annual Giving Day – a celebration of our community spirit, generosity, and the power of education to change lives.

This year, our Annual Giving Day will take place around a whole-school sponsored walk along the beautiful Wirral Way, bringing together students, staff, families, and supporters to raise funds for two important causes:

Our Targets for 2025:

Refurbishing one of our busiest computer rooms, by replacing 32 ageing desktop computers – now over ten years old – with modern, energy-efficient all-in-one PCs. This upgrade will transform digital learning for hundreds of students across all year groups.

Supporting Edukid (Registered charity No 1099058 ) Edukid is a brilliant charity that supports children in some of the world’s most disadvantaged communities by providing education and empowering young minds to create a brighter future . Every penny we raise will help make a real difference in the lives of children who need it most.

Students at our school have been fundraising for Edukid all year as the chosen school charity. Specifically, we are supporting their work in a remote part of the Amazon Rainforest with Awajun indigenous villagers and local communities. They have requested help sending their children upriver to school.

Funds raised will be shared equally between these two causes – directly benefiting both our school community and children in need in Peru.

All donations are being collected and managed by the West Kirby Grammar School Fund charity (No. 514834), who will ensure that donations are distributed evenly between the school and Edukid once the campaign ends.

We warmly invite all parents, carers, alumni, and friends of the school to take part – by sponsoring a student, sharing the appeal with others, or making a donation of any size. Together, your support will leave a legacy of better learning here at West Kirby and brighter futures beyond.
