West Kelowna Wildfire - Myers Family Recovery
Donation protected
The Kelowna General Hospital Respiratory Therapy department is organizing a relief fund for our dear colleague Elyse and her family. Elyse, Bill, and their two children Brooklyn and Hunter lost their home in the horrific McDougall Creek fire on August 17th.
Elyse is a dedicated Respiratory Therapist at KGH. She is a valued employee in our department who selflessly cares for others. Her husband Bill is a volunteer firefighter for Wilson's Landing Fire Department. While Bill was working tirelessly on the front line of this fire, his own home was lost. Bill continues to be one of the many firefighters working 24/7 to save homes.
Bill and Elyse bought their home in 2015 and ever since have poured their heart into creating their family dream home. Between working full-time and raising their two young children, Bill and Elyse single-handedly put in endless hours renovating to complete their home.
This GoFundMe has been started to help these kind, hard-working, and dedicated friends to help them recover the horrible loss of their home. Your generosity can make a world of difference as we strive to rebuild their lives and provide hope amidst the chaos. The funds raised will go directly to the Myers family to help rebuild their home and lives. Join us in lending a helping hand to the Myers family.
