***Blown away by the generosity shown in less than 24 hours. Increasing our goal one more time, to see if we can hit $10,000, which will help with housing expenses for a few months. Thank you so much to all who have shared and given!
**This community is incredible! In six hours we've already hit our second goal of $4,000. I'm going to leave our goal at that, and let's see how far beyond our goal we can go! Every gift, big or small, is so appreciated and will go toward this family's long-term well-being. Thanks to all, and please keep sharing!
*Update - Thank you so much for all who have given so generously today! As we are so near our first goal, and the family will have many expenses over the coming days and weeks, I'm raising the goal a bit to see how much support we can rally to meet those needs. Thank you to all who have and continue to share and give to this effort.
On Tuesday, October 4th, West Homewood resident Kim Lewis and her children lost everything they owned in a house fire that began shortly after the family left for school drop-off. Thankfully all are safe, but now they must find alternate housing and begin to replace what was lost. We invite friends and neighbors to surround this family with support, giving as you are able, during this impossibly difficult time.
