West Hills Friends Labyrinth
I was looking for something to do for my eagle scout project. I wanted to do something meaningful within my community whether it was in a park that I frequently go to or my Church. I went to the youth pastor for West Hills Friends: Mark Pratt-Russum. He had the idea of creating a Labyrinth on the grass patch in the front of the Church. A labyrinth reflects the complexities of faith and life and is used as a walking meditation and a tool for personal and spiritual transformation. Labyrinths can evoke spiritual pilgrimage, religious practices, mindfulness and environmental art. I agreed with Mark that this would make a great contribution to the Church so we set out to make it happen. The money in this GoFundMe will help pay for the materials needed for the project. We are also raising money to build some benches for people to sit near the labyrinth or at the playground.
