Wesley Nguyen support fund

Meet Wesley and his beautiful mom Jenny. It's just the two of them and it has been since Wesley was born. When Wesley was born he spent the first 3 months of his life in the hospital. He was born with bilateral vocal cord paralysis, aspiration and re-flux. He had to have a tracheostomy at 7 days old, and a feeding tube at 1 month old. He had the feeding tube for 3 years and the trach for over 6 years.  He spent another 2 weeks in the hospital 4 years ago for a laryngotacheoplasty. The doctors removed a piece of his ribs and used it as a stent in the posterior region of his  vocal cords. He spent 1 week in the hospital 3 years ago to remove the tracheostomy.  Since then his body resorbed the bone graft and he was gasping for air, unable to play sports or any hard physical activity. He was diagnosed with eosinophilia esphagitis, found out he's allergic to dairy, soy and eggs, and diagnosed with sleep apnea. As if this hasn't all been enough, on 10-15-18 Wesley had to undergo  another laryngotacheoplasty using cadaver ribs in the anterior and posterior region of his vocal cords so that he can breath and eat.  Wesley gets to go home on 10-30-18 after 15 very long hard days in the hospital with Jenny never leaving his side. Wesley has to go home with a feeding tube that will require more time off from work for Jenny.  Wesley had a very difficult hospital stay where he kept trying to remove his tubes. This is a note he wrote to his mom to say sorry for trying to remove the tubes. ( this boy's heart is gold!)Luckily Wesley has insurance that covers his medical expenses but as a single mom Jenny's funds are limited.  Being his only support, she needs to be able to stay home with Wesley to care for him for an unknown amount of time. He has to go back to the hospital in 2 weeks to have a scope done to check his grafts to be sure they are healing correctly. As of right now the anterior graft is struggling to heal correctly. He will have to do this every 2 weeks  for who knows how long.

I have set up this Go Fund Me to help raise money for Jenny as a single parent trying to care for her son alone. Being a single parent is tough enough but adding all these medical issues is more taxing than I could ever imagine. She is one of the most amazing humans I have every met and such an amazing mom. They find their strength and courage in Christ and walk it out daily. The two of them, in spite of everything, continue to smile and  be positive through it all. They are both such warriors and I have learned so much from the both of them about attitude and strength. Please help these beautiful souls by donating to this fund. Anything is greatly appreciated!
