Many of us in the Mason community were touched by Cracker in some unique way with

fond memories. This memorial fundraiser is simply to create a fund for his 10 year old Son Caden Crouch.

When tragedies such as this happen, we all feel the grief and our immediate reaction is ...

 

How can I help? Right here is how.

 

It is in difficult times we come together to help. Small town pride of Mason, Punchers.

 

My sadness created an opportunity to assist the family and Caden with this fundraising. My feelings are nothing compared to his family

 

Son Caden, Christy (Chris), Doug (Angela), Grandmom Gayle, Grandparents Robert & Carla, brother Chase, nor sisters Courtney & Tabatha, and Mama to Caden Ashley as well as every one of his group of friends that will miss him so very much

 

Caden lives in Benbrook Texas with his Mom Ashely Rodriguez. Caden is in 4th grade going to 5th at Westpark Elementary where he lives with his Mom that teaches 9-12 grade at Benbrook Middle School.

 

He loves sports, following in the footsteps of his uncles and cousins. 10 is an age all of us with kids can relate to, playing sports like Caden does, and really enjoying the simple things about life we easily forget as adults.

 

Let us translate our grief into something incredibly positive & lasting with this donation.

 

Most of us knew Cracker as Cracker. Wesley? Huh? I was introduced to him as Cracker, I called him Cracker, somewhere in there, I knew his real name to be Wesley, but I think the one common thread that came up as I asked his family for memories of him was this theme of

comedy was transparent. 

 

Cracker was funny. He was fun. He was also kind and helpful - always ready to lend a hand.

 

When he came to a get together Im pretty sure all of us immediately smiled because of it. Of course his brother Chase had the funny stories..he shared the time they got the Hummingbirds drunk and Doug was not pleased. One can only imagine how. His brother Chase related the time they decided to pull a kneeboard behind a 4 wheeler in the dirt & Chase flung him into a pond. Cracker was hot..and thought he coax Chase onto it after (which failed) I can't say I was surprised by either of these shares. I think all of us have a funny story to share.

 

Please donate with your heart for Caden, so his mom can put the money to his use. He is at such a tender young age and our helpful financial care of him is so very important. This is our chance. For most of us in the community, it could be our only chance!

 

Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, June 17th from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Mason Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 18th at 1 pm at the River of Life.
