Please help a single mother with rental assistance to maintain safe housing after suffering a stroke and loss of family.

After suffering a stroke during the pandemic, as well as the loss of the father of her son and her best friend in the same year, a single mother has fallen behind on her rent and needs community support to help reestablish security. She is a loving and civic-minded member of the community, volunteering tirelessly with a local mutual aid organization and serving as a poll worker and activist.

The loss of her son’s father and her best friend in the same year left her not only with a mountain of grief, but eliminated some material support that she was reliant on during her stroke recovery, and subsequent period of unemployment, and as such, she has been unable to keep up with her rent.

Please lend a hand as she continues to recover, navigate her grief, and seek sustainable employment.
