Wes, Jen and Family

Hey everyone, as you may know my brother Wes Meadows went into the hospital on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 due to Shortness of Breath and severe pain, once admitted to the hospital, they found out that he had sepsis and fluid on his lungs. Once the fluid had cleared, he was slowly getting better until he lost 2 pints of blood. The GI doctor did an endoscopy finding a very large ulcer had ruptured and everything seems ok until Saturday, August 6, 2022. In the early mornings, the doctor called his wife to let her know that he was in very critical condition his hemoglobin had dropped to 4.9 and they found more ulcers in his abdomen after doing a colonoscopy. On Sunday, August 7, the doctor told Wes and Jen that he needed to tell them his wishes because he has a 50/50 chance as of right now due to the ulcers and loss of blood. As of today Wes cannot eat or drink (they have him on a NG tube), he has lymphedema of the right leg which is weighing at 180 pounds dead weight, he has been given 9 units of blood and now he has been told that he has kidney disease. As his sister, I am reaching out for help. During this time, Jen has not been able to work therefore funds have become very tight and when Wes makes it out of the hospital, there are some things that will need to fix at his house in order for it to accommodate him and his family. Due to things, he and his family need and everyday life funds have become a huge burden on the family. I am asking if anyone is able or willing to donate it would be very much a blessing. Wes is the type of man that has put everyone else first and now he needs to be first. Some things that they are going to need for his house are a wheelchair ramp, a bariatric wheelchair, rehab bedroom set up in his dining room, handicapped bathroom/bathtub, money for Jen’s car, and for everyday bills and needs. In addition, as most of you know Wes and Jen have a special needs son (Aiden) who without Wes’ physical help will need a certified babysitter since Aiden is only able to attend a special school 3 hours a day and help with all his medications. All we ask is if you are able to help please do and if not please share and continue prayers for Wes and his family.
