Hi everyone, my name is Lori Nowlin and I have a friend who needs assistance. He recently retired (in October) from the company I work and his insurance ran out shortly after.

On Christmas Eve, his sweet wife Shirley had a stroke while they both were sleeping. Although she was rushed to the hospital, she stayed in a coma until today. I don’t have all the details, but what I do know is that Shirley has passed away and not only is Wes devastated, but he is facing a tremendous financial hardship with her burial. I need to add that he also cares for his three year old granddaughter, which I’m not sure if this will have to change now that Shirley has passed.

As I have permission from Wes to do this GoFundMe page, I also don’t have many details yet on arrangements for the funeral.

Wes and Shirley reside in Princeton, WV and Wes had retired from WVVA in October.

Any help, big or small will be graciously appreciated.
