Meet Brayden, he is 13 years old and a very special boy. He was born at 29 weeks weighing 2lbs.5ozs. He has Cerebral Palsy, and is 100% disabled.
Brayden lives with his mum in Independence, Kentucky. He is an amazing guy and despite having to overcome many obstacles since birth, he never stops smiling and has such a love for music. Brayden loves riding the school bus because he can ride in his chair and see out of the windows. The bus driver says he laughs all the way. Brayden has always loved school and enjoys being around other children.
Brayden is in need of a wheel chair accessible van. He can no longer ride safely or comfortably in a car seat. He is getting way too heavy for Jennifer, his mum, to lift him in and out of the car.
This is where we come in..
Thanks to the non-profit organisation 'Who I run 4' , Brayden and I have been matched together. Every step I run is because Brayden can't, and I know he's always there in spirit, cheering me on.
With the help and support of my loving family and friends, myself and some friends have entered the Race to the Stones Ultra Marathon .. we are Team Brayden, an unstoppable force!! In July, we will run 100km along England's oldest path, The Ridgeway.
With your help, along with some serious grit and determination on Team Brayden's part, we will endeavour to raise the funds needed to get those shiny new wheels for Brayden's mum, Jennifer.
