It all started when Rayyaan and Megan met at an acting workshop, Megan gave Rayyaan a ride home and he almost broke her car window. Great first impression! Fast forward 1 year later, Megan shared a meme on Instagram that put Rayyaan's writing skills to the test.

In case you don't have time to watch, suffice it to say, once we started writing together we were surprised by how funny and heartfelt the story became. We all need a little more joy and connection these days!

Now making this proof of concept will help us pitch the story to the big wigs and that's where you come in :)

THE CREW

Nina Rausch (Director)

Born and raised in Stuttgart/Germany, Nina is an award-winning producer and actress who has appeared in shows such as 'MAD MEN', 'ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK" and 'GREY'S ANATOMY'. As a producer, her projects have won festivals and found distribution through AMAZON, TUBI and HEWES. As a director, her project 'THE RESET' was seen nationwide in multiple festivals. She has used her BFA from Northern Illinois University and the Moscow Art Theatre in Russia to helm the masterclass program at the international Anthony Meindl Acting Workshop. Nina has served as a juror for the Catalina Film Festival and is currently represented by Authentic Talent Management and Crawford Talents.

James Strosahl (Cinematographer)

James Strosahl is a Cinematographer based in Los Angeles, California. After graduating from the Savannah College of Art and Design, he began his professional career in New York City as a camera assistant, quickly working through the ranks to become a Digital Imaging Technician. From run-and-gun shows like Broad City to standing with Darius Khondji as he meticulously frames and lights Natalie Portman, several of today's top cinematographers have trusted James to maintain their vision from camera to screen in this digital world. As a cinematographer, James has photographed TV shows, films, and commercial campaigns. With a strong understanding of traditional filmmaking techniques and an innovator's spirit, James uses knowledge and experience to push boundaries, always pursuing the director's vision.

Megan J. Smith (Writer/Producer/Actor - MAGGIE)

An army brat and self-proclaimed nomad, Megan studied directing at Columbia College in Chicago and received her acting training in New York where she wrote, produced and performed in sketch comedy at The People’s Improv Theater, wrote and produced her own full-length play Silent Movie Dreams which premiered at The Hudson Guild and acted on-stage in Off Broadway productions of Henry V by William Shakespeare and Dutchman by Amiri Baraka among others. Making her foray into film, Megan wrote, produced and directed a short film/music video Fireworks which premiered at The Nitehawk Cinema. Megan recently moved to LA with her husband and has since appeared in several indie films. She is a proud member of Actors Equity and is represented by CAP Management and Evolve Talent Agency.

Rayyaan Jameel (Writer/Producer/Actor - RAY)

Rayyaan S Jameel was born in Ottawa, Canada and grew up globally. He has been in the human performance space for over 15 years which all started with him creating a non-profit that was geared towards educating and empowering youth through sport. As an Actor, he has been a part of over 7 feature films, in supporting and leading roles. He has multiple pilot projects that have been filmed and are being prepared to shop to networks in which he has series-regular roles. On the commercial side he has done projects for brands such as Coca-Cola, UBER, Verizon, and Think Bar. He has Combat, Tactical, and Wire-work experience and speaks multiple languages. He has even immersed himself in the areas of production and writing, having worked to help produce lighting and sound for multiple stage productions and film. He is a tireless problem solver, committed and dictated to pursuing the arts in a meaningful way.

Demetri Bouzos (Actor - CHRIS)

Demetri is a graduate of USC’s School of Dramatic and Cinematic Arts and is a working actor in Los Angeles, CA (read: bartender). A descendant of Greek immigrants, Demetri is happy to continue the long tradition of bringing drama to the world - the Greeks invented it, after all. Demetri studies at the Imagined Life with Diana Castle and has performed in multiple live improv shows in the Los Angeles area. Special talents include Greek Folk Dancing and useless trivia knowledge. Demetri spends most of his free time trying his best to climb big rocks at bouldering gyms.

Sylvain Panet-Raymond (Actor - JEFF)

Sylvain Panet-Raymond is a New York trained actor by way of Montreal, Canada. He is also a writer and director and has performed in several off broadway plays and indie films. He recently moved to LA with his wife, where he currently studies sketch comedy and sketch writing at Upright Citizen Brigade.
