Help Us Reach the Start Line of the 2027 World’s Toughest Row
Hi, we're Adi, Dave, and Tim and in 2027 we will be rowing across the Atlantic - travelling 3,000 miles from the Canary Islands to the Caribbean.
We’re doing it to raise support for the creation and operation of Marine Protected Areas— one of the most effective tools for protecting ocean ecosystems and biodiversity.
But before we can row for the ocean, we need to get to the start line.
Why We’re Fundraising Now
The early phase of this journey is the hardest to fund, yet the most important.
Our two biggest, immediate costs are:
• Boat Deposit – securing the vessel that will carry us across the Atlantic.
• Professional Training – essential safety, navigation, and endurance preparation for a crossing of this scale.
These are the foundation of the entire project. Without them, we can’t enter the race.
Your Support Has a Multiplier Effect
After speaking with past teams, one thing is clear:
Once we secure a boat, doors open.
Sponsors, major donors, and corporate partners become far more willing to support teams who are officially locked into the race. That means:
1. Your donation helps us enter the race, so we can row for the cause.
2. It enables us to raise much larger amounts later, dramatically increasing the total we can direct toward marine conservation.
3. It accelerates our ability to protect threatened ocean ecosystems.
Why Marine Protected Areas Matter
Healthy oceans provide over half the oxygen we breathe and play a crucial role in stabilizing our climate.
Yet only a small fraction of the ocean is effectively protected.
Marine Protected Areas allow damaged ecosystems to recover, safeguard endangered species, and preserve biodiversity for future generations. They are among the most powerful tools we have to protect the sea.
Join our journey
We’re asking for your help to take the first step of this mission.
Every contribution, no matter the size, gets us closer to:
• The starting line
• Greater fundraising power
• And ultimately, a healthier ocean
Thank you for your help!
