We Provide Free Facials To Cancer Clients!

Tax deductible
You can make a difference by donating today to Pinky the Mobile Skin Coach.
My name is Tawana Mitchhart and I am a recent survivor of triple negative breast cancer. During the pandemic, I was bored and decided to go with my best friend to have a mammogram and grab lunch. Who knew that two weeks later, I would get the phone call saying I had breast cancer. I had recently just became an aesthetician and had just opened my own skin care studio, just two months prior to the news. I had to shut my business down in December 2020 and get ready for the journey of a lifetime.

I had to do a lot of genetic testing and found out that I had triple negative breast cancer and I tested positive for the BRCA1 gene which meant that I had to have a bilateral mastectomy even though the cancer was only in the left side.
so in March 2021, my world got rocked tremendously. Bilateral mastectomy followed by three ports, expanders, eight surgeries, 20 rounds of chemo, and radiation. (I won’t even mention the countless surgeries that I had to have because my body became infected and septic)
Going through all of that, I watched how my mind was changing and I knew I would never be the same. After the radiation, I watched my skin change and knew but it also would never be the same and I needed to do something about it besides just putting prescriptions for steroid cream on my skin and furthermore, I got tired of going to the doctor every other day, just so they could look at my skin to give me another prescription.

So, I prayed on it tremendously. Over and over and one day I woke up out of my sleep at about 3 AM and I knew what I was supposed to do. As much as I wanted to go back and open up another skin care suite, I realize that is not what I was supposed to do. It was time for me to get back and share my experiences.

So, this is where Pinky, The Mobile Skin Coach was born. I decided to get a sprinter van, a camper or an RV, and totally converted into a mobile healthy skin care unit. This way, I could provide my services of being an aesthetician and being certified in oncology aesthetics, and getting a life coach certification so I could also provide coaching to these women that were going through cancer treatment themselves. I could literally meet these women where they are physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Having a mobile skin care unit allows us to take our unit to their homes, offices, or wherever they are, especially when they are feeling vulnerable so they do not have to come out to an actual office or salon with other people while they are immunocompromise. It gives them that safe space and it also gives them someone that has been where they are. As much as I love my team of doctors, it’s easier to get advice and coaching from someone that has experienced the same things as you have and I have been there.

So what we will do is provide free skin care such as facials, make up, and skin treatment around the breast area, provide product for them to use and also provide free cancer coaching/counseling to these individuals.

We will also provide resources to help these women get assistance for what they need financially, help with paperwork and applications, provide info for food delivery services for them, free wigs, free classes, you name it.
we build a relationship with these women. They are not just a number or just another application that’s coming through that once we help them, we don’t deal with them anymore. We want to walk with them side-by-side and get them through their cancer journey so once they are on the other side, they can also help and give back to the women that are now going through the same as them.

So, since we are a start up nonprofit, we are asking for donations so that we may acquire what vehicle we will need, getting it out and buying the equipment needed, wrapping the vehicle, making it ADA friendly, Buying product, marketing materials, and just doing everything we need to do to get set up and get our name out there to let these women know that we are here to help in our community.

Remember, we are providing all of these services FREE OF CHARGE. So anything you can donate, I hope this gets started so we can go ahead and possibly be ready by October 15 so that we may take the vehicle to the making strides, breast Cancer walk in Nashville Tennessee on October 15 for our initial launching!. Thank you in advance and bless you all!
