I am raising funds to create a feature-length investigative documentary about Black soldiers in the 2-16 Infantry Battalion. I deployed with these soldiers and want to ensure their stories are told by someone who was there. This project is deeply personal to me, and I believe it is crucial that their experiences are shared authentically and preserved for the public.
The funds will help my team with travel, equipment, promotion, participant honorariums, research, legal review, editing and post-production, and contingencies. This support will make it possible to capture, produce, and share these important stories with a wide audience. By combining investigative journalism with accessible digital storytelling, the documentary will present complex institutional issues in a format designed to reach modern audiences.
Your support will help preserve firsthand testimony, deepen public understanding of military culture, and ensure that the voices of Black soldiers are not left out of the national conversation. Please consider donating and sharing this campaign to help bring these stories to light.
