Volunteering in Arusha, Tanzania

Hi everyone. This summer, we will be travelling to Arusha, Tanzania in East Africa to volunteer as teachers through International Volunteer HQ (IVHQ). We'll be working directly with local schools to support children’s education and help provide a better future for them.

Arusha is a region where poverty is widespread, and many families struggle to meet basic needs. Schools often lack supplies, and children attend class without clean water, enough food, clothing, or proper learning materials. Despite these challenges, the children are eager to learn, and the local teachers work tirelessly with limited resources.

Our goal is to raise much-needed funds that will go directly towards supporting the schools and children in Arusha. (We will be covering 100% of our personal expenses such as flights, accommodation, vaccines, etc.)

We’re also happy to accept donations of physical items such as pens, pencils, colouring books, stickers, sanitary products, football jerseys, and other helpful supplies.
