Hi, my name is Xabelina, and I’m writing this with tears in my eyes and a heaviness in my chest I can’t ignore anymore.

My daughter and I are behind on rent, and we have a court date on July 21st. If we can’t catch up, we’ll lose our home—and I honestly don’t know where we’ll go.

I’ve spent my life being the strong one, the one who figures it out, even when everything is falling apart. But right now, I’m scared. I’m exhausted. I’m doing everything I can—driving full-time for Uber, stretching every dollar, skipping meals when I have to—but it’s not enough to cover the rent, gas, tolls, bills, and groceries.

My daughter has been helping as much as she can. She just started a new job and is looking for more stable work. We’ve both been applying everywhere. If you know of any job opportunities in New Jersey, please reach out—we’re open, willing, and ready to work.
