my name is Ayrial (a.k.a. Empress Ayr), and I'm the owner and founder of Luxurious Peace. I create organic solution-oriented skin care for problematic skin!

I was born with a weapon that I refuse to let prosper. For over three decades, I have silently battled Atopic Dermatitis, Eczema. Eczema is a skin disorder that causes excessive dry skin, irritation, inflammation and rashes. Skin disorders affect over 84.5 million people globally. Eczema is known to affect at least 16.5 million people in the USA. Eczema is commonly found in South Asia. Yet eczema affects African American women more than any other species on this planet.

The Background

Skin irritation was nothing new to me. At the age of 5 - I was diagnosed with chronic Atopic Dermatitis. Covered in head-to-toe eczema, I spent most of my childhood adorned in Vaseline, Lubriderm, corticosteroids etc. Little did I know, a storm was brewing inside my body that no doctor could explain. I struggled to find a product that not only soothed my skin but promoted the health of the microbiome on my skin. After many years of steroid treatments, skin studies and countless failed attempts to find a suitable remedy, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I finally created effective melanin-rich skin care products that would check off all my boxes. During my extensive research, I produced a remedy that could be applied directly to the skin to alleviate the symptoms of my disease. And after a while, I realized that the probiotics and herbs I had concocted had not only restored my external epidermis but also transformed my skin into something beautiful.

Who we are

Luxurious Peace is a first-of-its-kind, innovative skincare brand that addresses atopic and seborrheic skin disorders such as Eczema, Psoriasis and Topical Steroid Withdrawal. We create luxurious handmade skincare for problematic skin with vegan collagen, Sea Moss!

What we do

I chose to expand the message of chemical toxicity, inclusion and positivity through my female-run, Black-Owned Metaphysical Wellness brand. Fortunately, our company recognizes the lack of representation and inclusivity in the skincare world. I began formulating steroid-free products to promote skin health and teach individuals its importance. In no time, our products were a hit, and Luxurious Peace was officially born.

The Mission

Making ALL people feel that self-care is a form of healthcare is embedded into my brand's clean beauty mission.

The Reason

The main reason why I created Luxurious Peace was to help others find their peace and protect it! The dream of having clear, beautiful, and even textured skin is common among many. However, it’s easy to get caught up with our melanin's physical appearance rather than our skin's overall health. While many companies credit themselves with developing remedies that help promote beautiful skin, there aren’t many products exclusively dedicated to skin health. As a result, it’s something that is overlooked and easily ignored. I chose to make Sea Moss the critical ingredient in all of our products as Sea Moss contains 92/102 vitamins and minerals that our bodies naturally produce and need. Swathed in sustainable packaging made from previously recycled materials, our ethically produced products are scratching up an itchy industry with high-grade therapeutic herbal remedies and blends like our Sea Moss Drip (sold with and without CBD).

Accountability

I hold my brand accountable to a higher standard of care as most customers suffer from allergies and skin sensitivities. I will continue to take meaningful steps towards the ethos and efficacy of my products while simultaneously providing relief and promoting natural healing on a cellular level. My personal care products' ingredients reflect Mother Earth's greatness and all her delicious homeopathic offerings. Each plant-based product is handcrafted with organic raw materials and omitting hormone/endocrine disruptors, toxins, synthetic colors, artificial fragrances, sulfates, phthalates, petrochemicals, and parabens. In furthering my commitment to educational accessibility, Luxurious Peace features a “Toxictionary,” a dictionary comprised of toxic chemicals lurking in our everyday personal care products. Also launched with a peer-to-peer and direct-to-consumer format to cultivate a community that educates and advocates for the abolishment of topical, analgesic steroidal products.

I've been blessed and fortunate to work with large retailers and plant-based brands to help me spearhead the charge with my solution-oriented products for problematic skin. I no longer want to see people live and suffer in silence as I did. I have developed a passion for protecting myself and others from the dangers of prescription medications, toxic chemicals, harmful foods and toxic environmental essentials. I have participated in several business accelerators on a large scale and small scale to help organically grow my brand. These accelerators have provided me with a wealth of knowledge, expertise, mentorship and guidance.

Opportunities

As a change maker, I must provide opportunities to those that have been pushed away and marginalized by society. And with your help, this goal becomes more achievable! My goal is to expand into mass retail and fill that white space for those who seek natural solutions for their problematic skin. I vow to continue my educational efforts on skin health and toxic products while opening a brick-and-mortar storefront in my underserved community.
