Funeral expenses for Wendy.

Donation protected
***UPDATE Today marks a sad day for our family. And It is with heavy heart and sadness that we have to announce that my sister Wendy Ashworth lost her battle today....A battle she has struggled with for many years that started with addiction and ended up ultimately shutting her body down. Now our focus is shifting from helping Wendy to helping and taking care of her kids, planning a funeral and relocating the kids. Alex, Cassie & Nick have now had to do what no child so young should have to go through not only once but now twice. They have had to say goodbye to both their parents at such young ages. Now we have to be there for them....to help them, nurture them and support them. Be there for all the graduations, birthdays, weddings, and all of life’s ups and downs. But with all that does come some unforeseen and added expenses. If you can find it in your hearts to say a prayer for the kids and all of us and if you would like to donate please click the link below. Wendy has been hospitalized again in the Critical Care Unit.  She is in dire need of a double transplant for liver and kidney.   The Doctors are only giving her about 6 months to live unless she can get the transplant.  She is unable to work or bring in any income and still has 2 kids living at home. I know it's asking a lot  but  Please if you can share the campaign post to your page or donate even $1 it's crunch time and we need all the help, support and prayers we can give Wendy and the kids. She needs our help now more than ever.

**UPDATE*** Wendy is doing better little by little.  She has been released from the hospital and is home resting and recuperating.  She has at home nursing care and is on Dialysis 3x week.  Dialysis takes a lot out of anyone who has gone trough it.  She still has a very long way to go.  As the infection is healed we are hoping she regains some kidney function.  Her liver and kidneys are still not working correctly and only time will tell if function returns.  She does still need help to cover her medical bills, copay's and daily living expenses because she has not returned to work and we are unsure when or if she will be able to return to work.  For anyone who knows Wendy you know she has endured more than anyone should have to go through.  From losing her 1st child to leukemia when she was 3 1/2 years old and then losing her husband when her kids were 6,4,2 respectively.  Now is the time that we can help take some of the burden off her and help out.  Please if you can donate or just share the link on your Facebook page and invite your friends to share the link on their page.  Let's help give Wendy a little help so she can focus on recovery.

My sister Wendy has been hospitalized in Ohio with a life-threatening illness-a massive bacterial infection that has taken over her body.  Causing kidney, liver and lung issues. Doctors are working to try to control and cure this massive infection, she is on dialysis, high dose antibiotics and other medicines.  But her prognosis/diagnosis is unknown right now... its just day-to-day.   She is a single mother of 3 great kids, her husband died when the kids were very young, two of which still live at home.  Even when all of this is over she may still need long term care and assistance.

I wish I had more to write but unfortunately, we are still in the early stages of this illness, much of the outcomes and her prognosis are still unknown.  If you can find it in your heart to donate I know it will help alleviate some of the burden and stress on our family.  My mom drove from NY to be with Wendy & the kids and try to help as much as she can.  The funds will be used to help with bills, medical bills and the kids expenses.

I will update this page as we get more details on her prognosis.

Please continue with your thoughts and prayers.  Feel free to share this on your page and send it along.  From our whole family thank you for all your help, prayers and good thoughts.
