My mother Wendy Ostrich, has endured a lot after being diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer in March 2025. I immediately stopped working to care for my mother, who underwent radiation and chemotherapy in hopes of beating the cancer, despite her age of 82. However, my mothers health deteriorated over time due to complications from treatment, including lung fluid buildup, infections, and blood clots.
My mother's resilience and unwavering positivity through each struggle, and someone with a fighting spirit, immense love, and a heart that taught her children to value love above all has to say Goodbye. Despite the grueling treatments, i regret asking my mother to fight so hard, now realizing how damaging chemotherapy and radiation can be.
Now, with doctors giving my mother only a few weeks to live, I face the heartbreak of preparing to say goodbye to a woman who raised three adoptive children by herself with love and selflessness. My mother’s final wish is to be buried at Beth David Cemetery, a Jewish cemetery, and I’m seeking help to afford the costs of this burial to fulfill my mothers wish. I express deep gratitude for any support, hoping to bring my mother peace of mind in her final days. Anything is appreciated. Thank you .
