After a long and scary three weeks, on June 13, 2023, our warrior mom was diagnosed with a stage 3 brain tumor called an astrocytoma glioma. Sadly, due to the location and complexity of the tumor, it is inoperable and has left her unable to walk at this time. Our mom's treatment will involve aggressive radiation and chemotherapy. While our mom has incredible insurance, she will also need expensive 24/7 at-home care, which is not covered, and she cannot remain in a rehab facility while undergoing treatment. She's got a long road ahead, and we just want her to be getting the best standard of care and be able to focus on enjoying every precious moment with her family and friends while she kicks cancer's butt again.
