Wendell & Suzy Hospital/Health Funds

Donation protected
First off, this is for my Dad and Stepmom, Suzy. They have really been hit hard these last few years but recently the whole world kind of came crashing in on them medically and financially. Anything is appreciated!! Anyone who knows my Dad, Wendell Cowart, knows he is a hard worker and always has been. They would also tell you that he doesn't know when to quit and just wants to help people. He has been a carpenter for years and really enjoys welding.
A few years ago a home bombing next door to them left their house uninhabitable and ever since it's been a struggle.
Two weeks ago my dad was in heart failure when he walked through the doors to the hospital on crutches(previous injury) with a broke down truck across town...no exaggeration. Being 1.5 hours from home Suzy was staying at a low fare hospital housing, called Jubilee house. For most of the time she was taking a taxi back and forth. Dad coded in the hospital and gave us quite the scare. It was determined that Dad could no longer work as a carpenter and he also had to have a defibrillator/pacemaker installed. He contracted a staff infection during his stay as well. One week ago Suzy fell at the Jubilee and broke her hip!!!! Now she is still in the hospital and Dad was discharged to Jubilee where he will receive IV antibiotics everyday for 20-22 weeks! This is all during a COVID-19 quarantine where they are told to stay home and the hospital is accepting no visitors. The house has no kitchen(microwave only) and he is on a strict low sodium diet. He can grab a meal from the hospital that meets his requirements but this all comes at a cost.
The money raised will go toward helping Dad with meals, room fare at the Jubilee home, medical bills for his stay(he's 64 yrs old without insurance), bills such as phone, and their living away from home for the next 4 months!!! This would be such a relief for them to get some help immediately. Dad doesn't need anymore stress!!!!!
Did you know that when you have a defibrillator/pacemaker that you are not allowed to weld with more than 160 amps?! It could create a magnetic field and disrupt the function of the device. It is heartbreaking to my dad since that was his favorite thing to do. The one thing that could make all his worries disappear for a while and now he can't do it :(
TIA and God Bless
