"About 6 months ago, due to an unrelated event, a spot was found on Kim's (who is a SAHM to our 3 young girls) cerebellum. At the time, the doctors believed it to be nothing to worry about. Upon the 6 month follow up, we were called into the neurosurgeons office on September 11th, where he informed us that the spot had grown and indeed a benign tumor that needs to be taken out. On October 1st at 7:45 am, Kim will be undergoing brain surgery to remove the tumor. 

Following this, she will spend about a week in the hospital, followed by 6 - 8 weeks of recovery at home. Her sole responsibility for those weeks will be to recover."
