We are Silver Racing, a dedicated team consisting of Five Year 10 students from Cardiff competing and representing Wales at the STEM Racing World Finals in Singapore.
We have already experienced success individually, with team member Kavya being a Race for Diversity Award runner-up, which led to a fantastic work experience opportunity with the Haas F1 team this summer, along with Team member Dylan, who is a Williams F1 Team work experience shortlisted candidate.
After almost three years of continuous hard work, we were proud to place 3rd in the UK National Finals, competing against some of the top teams in the country. This result has qualified us for the World Finals, where we will represent Wales and compete against teams from across the globe.
A key part of our journey has been refining our biomimicry and hydro-inspired ethos to shape how we approach the competition, and we're thrilled for the chance to show this on a global stage!
From our National Success to qualifying for the World Finals, we are proud of what we have achieved, but we need your help to get there!
The cost of competing in the 2026 World Finals this October is over £ 25,000—covering competition expenses and necessary materials to maximise our chances of competing. Every donation, big or small, brings us closer to representing Wales on the world stage and gaining life-changing experiences in STEM, and we’d be so grateful to have you along on this journey!
