6 years ago we completed the 3 peaks challenge raising £2.5k for MS society.
This time we are raising money for a cause even closer to home.
We are friends of chris williams who was recently injured in a tragic mountain bike accident. He is a young man In his prime with his whole life ahead of him, husband, father to a new born baby and toddler under 2 years old.
Unfortunately as a result of the accident he is currently paralysed from the chest down.
The cost of his rehabilitation, ongoing care, medical equipment and possible home adaptations are eye watering to say the least.
We feel it is our duty to do the utmost to raise some funds to help give him the best care possible.
The challenge we will be attempting this year is the Welsh 3000 which means reaching the peak of the 15 highest peaks in snowdonia in 24 hrs.
A daunting task for the most avid hiker, meaning we have 8 weeks of intense training to get ourselves ready. The challenge will take place on the 26th of august. I will be attempting this alongside Chris Tinsley, Marc Ellis, Iestyn Smith and Josh Tanton.
Take a minute to think of chris and his family, what they are going through and dip deep in to your pockets. Big or small every penny is welcome.
Many Thanks
